Biography:I have lived in or near St Albans since 1980. I was married in St Albans Abbey, my wife is a local architect and my children attend Hertfordshire schools. Until I stopped commuting into London I was a regular user of the old BedPan line, then Thameslink and FCC. Hertfordshire is my home and I am passionate about the character of St Albans and its surrounding villages. I started the Hands Off Herts campaign to oppose the Government's proposals to build over the Green Belt round St Albans. I have also campaigned on the poor state of our local health services, most recently with a huge house-to-house survey to get residents' views.
